| France 1 - Portugal 0
Of course my beloved France beat Portugal and yes it was only because of a penalty kick, but honestly at the world cup level, luck is as important as skill. Both teams played well and unfortunately some sketchy officiating took away from the game, there were plays that should have been fouls on both teams that didnt get called. But to address some of the doubters that France should have won, France had 4 shots on goal, only one less than Portugal's 5.
It was a balanced game, both teams played well and anyone that says Portugal should have won and outplayed France doesnt understand that wildly shooting on goal doesnt mean that a team is skilled. France didnt shoot as much because they were ahead and didnt absolutely have to score like Portugal. Which is why they sat back and played defense so much, and this worked quite well as they shut down a strong Portugal team. But anyway if Portugal really did completely outplay France as some say they did then they would have won the match.

| Thanks to everyone who came to my surprise graduation party, even if you were only there for free food *cough* steven sun *cough* it was still nice to have you there, despite all the embarrassing pictures and videos you got to see. Oh well its not like i havent experienced public embarrasment before.

| So senior awards night was tonight, and besides realizing that i was too casually dressed and then rushing home to change and get back in time (it took about 20 minutes total), it was a fun night. Though it did make me realize how soon it is all going to be over. It just hit me tonight that there will be so many people i will never see again after graduation, and even some of the people i am now closest to i wont see often. Its a sad reality, but i guess i always knew that it was coming i just didnt want to admit it. | | |
| Prom this year was incredible, and easily the best dance I've ever been to. Though there were some issues with the corsage I bought, it all worked out in the end anyway, though we did get to dinner a tad late as a result. But thankfully jessie and david were dropped off to save the reservation only a little late compared to the rest of us who had to go park. I was surprised how affordable dinner ended up being considering it was PF Chang's and we had around 8 dishes I think.
Anyway, as for the actual dance first, the location was great because there was more to do then just dance with all the exhibits, and the chocolate fondue fountains were fantastic. especially the white chocolate one by the picture desk. Honestly if someone (*cough* claudia *cough*) hadn't physically dragged me away for pictures I might have stayed there all night. But actually I was glad I didnt just stand there eating junk food because the rest of the museum was really cool, like the tunnel that some people can stand up in whereas I had to crouch quite a bit, or the water exhibit even though formal wear, water, and plastic balls dont always mix so well (especially when you try and throw the balls into the water and miss)
And while all of this was great, and made prom stand out much more than any regular stepped on my feet, I wouldnt have wanted it anyway. So thank you claudia, you truly made prom an amazing time, that I will always remember . | | |
